Cinema du Parc. Very beautiful and mannered, so much more interesting than the Brazilian history course I’m currently taking lol. Great lead performance, loved the emphasis on family and the use of time leaps, but felt it was a bit overly reliant on vibes for something so thematically dark and heavy in many ways.

The most New York film in ages. So much to love and so glad I watched in theatres. Sean Baker merging the worlds of the sex workers and lowerclassmen he always observes with such warmth and empathy and the nouveau riche prove a logical, but audacious next step in his oeuvre that doesn’t forgo what made him so great in the first place. Yes to the twilight cinematography, yes to Mikey Madison, yes to the physical comedy. I want to say this was Spring Breakers meets Scorsese but that feels corny idk man. But I really loved it!
