The way this would’ve been a disaster for them from the jump if it had been me.
My phone would’ve been on silent. I would’ve chucked the earpiece in lost and found without even really clocking what it is and forgotten about it immediately. If I checked my phone and saw a message from an unknown number, I would’ve deleted and reported junk without even opening the thread.
CMM was really only meant to stare meaningfully on OTH. He wasn’t meant to break containment.
It might have been a great film, I couldn’t tell because I almost died by secondhand embarrassment several times.
This was funny to watch because my mom (65) and grandma (90) wanted to watch this and I was pretty sure they wouldn’t know/understand what “it’s a Baz Luhrmann film” meant. I’m sure they were expecting something like Bohemian Rhapsody or Rocketman- straight dramatic scenes telling the story sandwiched between stage performances. I do think they didn’t expect all the remixes, jumps, and cuts, but enjoyed it anyway?
