  Wished I had Wikipedia’d the Congo crisis before watching, it’s admittedly fascinating.  Too many names/situations to keep track of when learning for first time, esp with non-linear storytelling.  Movie had no business being 2.5 hours long. I fell asleep.

  Would like to re-watch for the sake of history.  Patrice Lumumba seemed like a real one.  Belgians were fucks.  Unclear how complicit the UN was, movie thinks so and the end result was obv bad.
