The Northman 2022
It’s a beautiful blood-soaked epic.
I can’t believe this movie exists. It’s ruthless in its violence, but is overall grounded in revenge, love, and magic. There are multiple scenes I want to remember forever in their entirety.

Noroi: The Curse 2005
It’s very interested in the paranormal, superstitions, and rituals. And how children are especially sensitive or vulnerable to the paranormal.

Leprechaun 1993
Incredibly stupid but rarely stupid enough to be funny. The fun comes from watching it with friends and the commentary that follows. It’s a movie that brings the audience together
Watched for movie night on the insistence of my roommate’s boyfriend (he doesn’t pay rent here) and for st patricks day. There are multiple lucky charms references but literally no st patty’s day jokes, the Leprechaun must want to separate itself from the catholic church.
