Two hours of some the most original, stomach churning, wretched, hysterical, sad, sexy, and disturbing content I’ve seen in my entire life.
I haven’t felt like this since I watched The Fly. Wow.
but also…it works? A story about a washed up actress who will do literally anything for just a taste of validation and beauty again is a poetic message wrapped up in the decaying skin of a monster created by the substance. The metaphor of borrowing time in your youth and paying the consequences in old age is a doozy.
A one of a kind movie. Not for the faint of heart.
