Definitely an interesting idea, just not sure it shows/explains things in as good a way as it could have, I was left slightly confused at points, particularly near the beginning. Wasn’t a totally convinced by the direction it went either, thought there was more they could’ve done with the concept but the finale was alright.

Blue Velvet 1986
Having watched Mulholland Dr a while back and not got on with it, I’d kind of written Lynch off as ‘not my thing’ but after his recent passing and seeing everyone raving about his films I thought I’d give another one a go. Although I think I enjoyed Blue Velvet a bit more, the mystery was interesting to start with but wasn’t sure about where it went or how it ended, still a few bits too odd for me. All in all still not sure it’s my vibe but can appreciate some of the craftsmanship of it.

A Clockwork Orange 1971
I didn’t hate this anywhere near as much as some on here, but I also didn’t love it. It was a pretty surreal and uncomfortable watch. The production design was amazing and the score worked really well, it’s just the story that I’m sure has its interpretations and artistry but I can’t say I massively enjoyed it to start with, I did start to get into it a bit in the second half though it was also a bit meandering and directionless and I thought the ending didn’t offer much.
