  Jeez, a lot of (predominantly white) people sure are bitter that they had to watch this for some college class. Anyways, this was great! Better than I anticipated. Sherman Alexie is a phenomenal storyteller, I’m glad he had heavy involvement with this adaptation. I was pleased to learn this was a 100% native film, too.   I actually liked this one. It was crude without being overtly so and had moments where I actually laughed. Of course, it was made in 2008 so there were some instances of transphobia (which I pretty much expected). Nothing too bad, though. I like shitty movies, sue me.

  Edit: so apparently I have rated this the highest out of all of the reviews on letterboxd. I really do like shitty movies. Again, sue me. Lmfao.
