The biggest faults of this documentary:
Lack of Black visibly. HIV/AIDS wasn't just a bunch of yt ppl.
How activism is displayed: this isn't so much something I blame on the film, but it does heavily feed into the narrative that activism, in order to be effective, requires big acts, getting arrested, etc. And doesn't show that the consequences for said actions are not all the same across the board. It also neglects to really show and demonstrate how community care and mutual aid undermines governmental structures and are also valuable forms of activism.Translated from by -
