Great beginning with the intro to Leo. Loved how that was done.
I’m always fascinated by films that tell a story about reservations. (I.e. Wind River, and shows like Yellowstone)
Scorsese knows how to tell a story but better yet instinctively knows how to capture authentic performances from A-List actors. Let alone he has a short hand with DeNiro but with that aside he knows how to capture a scene how he likes.
The story could not have been shown/told better…
The acting is forced. A little too forced. It looked as if I was watching a student film who only learned to storyboard without any thought to directing the actors.
With that being said, It’s a Wes Anderson Film so expect a lot of stark stills that move the story,
The aspect ratio goes through abrupt & unclear changes. For example 4.3 to wide for no reason. The average Joe may not see it because he trying the best he can to follow the story.
It’s a star studded cast with all actors giving what appears to be there worst.
