It's like they started to make a slasher comedy but forgot partway through and got all My So-called Life teen serious.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is great for all 57 seconds he is in it.
The scenes with the dad - Mr. Bladecut - are perfectly toned for a comedy. Set me up for a sort of family sitcom of murderers, but the Michael-Myers- inspired father is disappointed when his daughter chooses a high school social life over duty.
