  It's been a while since I last saw this Brian De Palma classic. A slow developing story with loads of nods to Hitchcock, which ultimately ends up feeling a bit slow paced for the first half hour. Then it picks up and turns into one of those eighties movies, that will always stand out primarily because of its stylish looks and really cool cinematography. The acting of Michael Caine and Nancy Allen is still easy to enjoy three and a half decades after the movie first premiered. If you are into thrillers from the eighties, then you should not miss out on this classic.

  What a complete load of rubbish. If Nolan wanted to be intellectual, he should have gone all the way and left people guessing. Instead we get a movie, that wants to be taken seriously, but treats it's audience like morons. I can not believe that this movie has been so well received. It was completely without nerve and the "big surprise" at the end was painstakingly explained to an extent, where even small pets would understand what was going on.
