There are 3 types of film I hate:

    1. Films that are not my cup of tea. I don't even necessarily "hate" them - it's more of dislike or disinterest. While I am not a fan, I realize and appreciate that the film does offer something to a certain section of people and I have no problem with that. (eg. Marco)

    2. Films that I feel are dishonest, ill-inspired and dumb. These are more aggravating for me, and a part…

    Love Today

    ★★★½

After reading some of the reviews, it's obvious that the film clearly has some issues in the stereotypical and unfair way it characterizes both genders and their problems. Certainly the core message - what it is & whether it makes sense - deserves a healthy discussion on it's own.

That being said, I was so floored with the way this film was edited, shot & acted that I would be lying if I said I wasn't thoroughly enjoying everything on screen. The aesthetic and energy of this film is so refreshing. I would love to see more from this director/actor.

The Tree of Life is an ambitious movie. But sadly, it is also a pretentious one. The film tries to narrate the life of a Texas family while at the…

He Took His Skin Off for Me

Disturbingly grotesque and yet conclusively beautiful because of the underlying theme, He Took His Skin Off for Me is an undeniably praiseworthy attempt to comment on our constant habit of changing ourselves and becoming something else, for the promise of love and acceptance. A cleverly crafted short film that manages to impart its message in an interesting, unique way by narrating the story of a man who took his skin off to please his girlfriend. Compelling.
