Goldfinger 1964
This was a really good movie. James Bond is just such a classic example of what it means to be suave. There are some obvious plot holes in the movie and some of the special effects do look dated to the modern viewer; however, with all of this in mind, it is still an awesome and dramatic story with lots memorable moments and one-liners. Rear Window 1954
What an absolutely spectacular film! Hitchcock is truly the master at building tension, and this piece is just more evidence. The framing of the camera, the weaving of different plot lines, and the moral dilemma that Jefferies and the other characters consistently face throughout the movie are all brilliantly thought out. The chemistry between Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelley is fantastic, and I found myself thoroughly invested in each of the decisions they came to. This is definitely a must-watch for every fan of murder mysteries.

The Yearling 1946
I watched this movie with my dad years ago, and it will just make you want to sob. On a side note, it’s fascinating to see a film take place in the Ocala wilderness so long ago. Aside from the heartbreaking story, the film gives you a deeper appreciation for what kind of life the settlers of north central Florida experienced during the late 1800s. I only wish I read the novel beforehand.
