  i refused to watch this movie for years until i read the book, and i finally read the book a year ago. The book was more subtle with the “twist”, or at least it didn’t seem as crazy when revealed.
  I can definitely see men taking the wrong message from this movie lol. I actually gifted my brother the book (he’s never seen the movie) in the hopes he learns  something  impactful haha.
  The homoeroticism was extreme. Helena Bonham Carter is divine.
