I watched this on Mubi with no audio, so played a Spotify playlist of neo- noir jazz alongside and some of it fitted really well for key moments.

Pink Flamingos 1972
Not for me.
I understood the point of the assignment was to disgust, but the plot was thin, the acting lacklustre and the camerawork shoddy.
It reminded me of segments on RuPaul's Drag Race where the queens are to fill three minutes with a short sketch.
After ninety minutes, the humour and fun has long since worn out. It needed more substance.

Not my genre of film really, but as epics go, it couldn't be faulted.
The battle scene in part three was all consuming and overwhelming. It pulls you in and wherever you look, the chaos is grand and full of spectacle. The same can be said of the ransacking of Moscow scenes in part four. These were the sections that were most impressive.
