Monkey Man 2024
Some people are calling this movie an “Indian John Wick,” and I couldn’t disagree more. Yes, the gore and fight scenes resemble JW. But, I can honestly say there’s magic in the plot and character’s stories here.
Going in, I knew I could trust anything that Jordan Peele touches, but I was surprised by just how touched I was by Dev Patel’s portrayal of a kid’s aching pain and a man’s lust for revenge. Overall, we need to see more movies with Dev Patel, made by Dev Patel.

Sorry to Bother You 2018
Weird as hell, but the social commentary of capitalism and corporate America was on point. The outrageous horses were perfect symbolism for how white people in power view the working class (especially Black and brown ppl) as animals. I should’ve watched this sooner.
