The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

In a time when kids movies are so much better than anything else coming out this might take the cake for the best one in recent years. Sticks to the classic Looney Tunes formula to deliver a hilarious movie. I was laughing out loud with everyone else in the theater from start to finish. Im having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact this movie came out in 2025. Please go watch this!

Gonna refer to the Gum conspiracy in this movie as the Chewstero.

Some really interesting formal elements. Excellent ending. Definitely one I would recommend.

Celebrityism appears to by dying, when you have 24/7 access to actors, it’s impossible to separate them from the characters they play. And Opus makes that worse by giving us zero actual character study, a brief exposition dump before launching into a mess of ideas.

    This is a few "different"…
