For me, this is Korine’s second-best film (Gummo being first, says more about how I feel about his other movies). Here, he fully realizes his vision of post-cinema. Both the aesthetic and the concept are genuinely fascinating, and the lack of a traditional A-to-Z narrative only strengthens that. Aggro Drift relied on a flimsy story to push it forward, but Baby Invasion doesn’t need one. Like the media it reflects, it exists outside the constraints of a beginning, middle, and…

Maybe there was an interesting angle to explore here, but ultimately, it’s just another movie about how rich people suck and how to grieve a loved one. Story aside, the film looks terrible, and the CGI "space" scenes were sooooooooo Bad.

It’s also wild how many horror comedies have been coming out lately, and how none of them manage to be either funny or scary.

This is a good movie far better than a lot of the faux “artistic auteur” crap I’ve seen this year. It reminds me why I fell in love with movies in the first place. All the kids movies I watched this year really were fantastic.

Little bias since Geoff was one of my favorite professors and he was working on this while I was a student.

Visually one of the most unique films Ive seen. The blending of mediums works well and was one of the most enjoyable aspects of the film. Add in a great cast and a fun story, it all comes together beautifully.
