The Glass Web 1953
Kino Lorber’s just-released restoration by The 3D Film Archive is loads of fun. It’s a noir mystery set in the world of true crime TV. Of its time, particularly its outdated social attitudes towards anyone who isn’t a white guy, but aside from that this is a fun little ride.
Jack Arnold loved a good pop-out in his 3D movie and there are some cleverly designed “in your face” shots. 3DFA restoration is superlative, as always.
Viewed in 3D.

Drive 2011
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Moody, glossy, and cool, with Albert Brooks performing ferociously as the bad guy. Don't go looking for anything too deep here, and you'll enjoy it.

Supervixens 1975
Russ Meyer’s Supervixon has it all, and it’s gorgeously filmed by Russ Meyer. If you enjoy Russ Meyer, this is an absolute must.

Anora 2024
Rewatched this film and I enjoyed it just as much as the first viewing. Sean Baker is one of the best American filmmakers and Anora manages to synthesize his humanistic style of storytelling with alternately hilarious and heartbreaking moments.
This is everything I want in a movie, it's transportive, unexpected, moving, and compelling. Possibly my film of the year.
