Sincere, funny and doubles as a brilliant tourism ad for Poland. From seeing this it looks beautiful over there in the summer and super clean to boot.

Barbie 2023

Clearly subtlety is a dirty word to Greta Gerwig. The film bleeds its subtext and its from a near fatal wound. What saves the film is its colourful world and characters. Gosling and Robbie are both iconic and are doing their absolute best with the script they've been handed here. Its also pretty funny in places though some jokes here and there do fall completely flat. What ultimately drags 'Barbie' down though is its painfully shallow commentary on society and gender roles and how it kind of feels like its stoking more division than unity in what it's trying to say.
The Suicide Squad 2021

★★★★★ Watched 30 Jul 2021

Struggling to think of any major reason to not give this 5 stars. Strikes the perfect mix between action, comedy, political undertones and a surprisingly heartfelt story. All made for one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had at the cinema for a very long time.
