Bizarre, surreal, disturbing then, somewhat less now - I remember being enthralled and even horrified by this when I saw it decades ago and became hooked on David Lynch's work. I watched it again today and although still watchable it is definitely showing its age. A lacklustre affair with little to no suspense, excitement or thrill. The music/sound track is unoriginal and jarring, even intrusive at times. Well shot, not badly acted, however totally unconvincing performances and story. A derivative and obvious concoction with nothing to really recommend it.
