  In Hinblick des gravierenden Themas mag der Film zu unschuldig sein, doch trifft er wahre Gefühle mit einer so ergreifenden Schwermut und Herzlichkeit, dass er mich zurecht daran erinnert, auf ein glückliches Ende zu hoffen.

  We should sympathize and feel bad for the Yakuzas? The one-sidedness of this film makes me grind my teeth, it misses out on real dilemmas. We do not see whether the dropouts show remorse for their actions and really want to make amends with the victims outside of their own families. The actual fall of the family and the so told changes in society are not shown because of the time skip of forteen years, the process could have been more interesting than everything else in the movie. Oh boohoo bad guys feel bad.
