  Can't blame Richard Curtis for trying to switch things up, and it almost, sort of works. Some of the cheesiest moments of all time. Andrew Lincoln is dreadful and his storyline is pointless, bless him. Forgot this was a Christmas movie oops.

  Damn this was bad. Like really really bad. This is a movie from a director with like 40 years of experience? Frankly embarrassing.

  I don't even know where to start: the pacing is shambolic; the score is somehow both forgettable and completely out of place; all the dialogue explicitly tells you how the characters are meant to feel whilst their actions are totally nonsensical; the acting was weak, the plot was bizarre and the violence was so distasteful and horrifically…

  Watched this at the Genesis Cinema in East London. On the floor above our screen was a large gathering of Ukrainians. I came across them during the intermission. Some were singing Ukrainian songs on the karaoke machine, some were sitting around a table talking animatedly, some were leaning against the wall with a drink. It felt strange to go back downstairs and watch the second half of the film, a film about the aftermath of war and the scattered persons…
