You know what, it defied expectation for me. There just wasn’t the bops to make it really stand out though which is a problem with the musical and not the film.
It’s overall fine. Leads were good. Lovely bits of comedy. Looks good. Choreography good.

A film that's neither here nor there. Tonally all over the place, I don't think it was paced right or gave enough emphasis to the key plot points or themes which would have made you care more about Ellen and her past. I really didn't care by the end.
It also features some of the worst acting I've seen in a long time - particularly by ATJ. I think most of them struggled to get a grasp on the dialect…

This is a breathtakingly beautiful film. For the first time, I felt like I was watching science fiction where the worlds felt completely alien yet completely believable and not like, filmed in some California landscape.
There’s no one in the cast who isn’t an acting powerhouse giving their best - Rebecca Ferguson probably the stand out.
