This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Filled with lots of great moments but ultimately not a movie I would consider for a "best picture" award.
Anora is split into two parts, it isn't hard to notice the switch. The first part is meeting and having fun with Ivan which results into marriage. The second part is the search for Ivan and confincing him to stay married.
The movie is too focussed on Anora wanting to stay with Ivan to really feel that punch in the gut…
