  watched this for the first time at 23 years old feeling lost in life, relating to frances & thinking “will it still be this way when i’m the same age as she is?” I’m officially watching this at 27, and… yes, yes it is still so messy, busy, confusing, a sense of feeling lost…. except now you’re just more stubborn and self-sabotage while all your friends are off getting married & you remain ‘undateable’. 

  let’s hope this film helps heal my cynicism though. 

  still love it dearly.

  this definitely rewired some part of my brain when i first watched it at like 13 years old & taught me that early how men are trash because i have not had a real crush since i was that old
