This is dogshit screenwriting at its best. Or is that how people talk nowadays? But to the writers' credit, they do summarise and explain the entire movie from 1 hr 14 min in that restaurant scene, and that includes all the morals and the message of the movie.
On the bright side, I love Dakota Johnson because you can tell in her acting that she knew that the screenplay is utter garbage and the directors are inexperienced and... well... shit all along.
