Napoleon 2023
I liked it, I didn't. Was thrilled by the battle scenes but bored by the war. Joaquin Phoenix was a great little freak as Napoleon. Vanessa Kirby was the best. They made the film about their relationship but then didn't and I think the issue can be traced to the decision to title the film Napoleon. he's just such an ass it's like who would root for him? Who would marry him? And because at the end of the day he discarded perhaps the only person he really loved, the film falls flat in its core. I think a proper ending could have saved the film.
