  I cannot get over how much I enjoyed the family dynamic in CODA. Through physical differences, financial hardship, and conflicting perspectives, the love is clear and refreshing to see. The choice for Ruby to be the sole translator of the family is fantastic, it shows the burden she bears as well as the inherent disconnect between her and her brother.   I honestly really enjoyed this movie. It was pretty wild theme wise (with a lot of random themes just thrown in) but the core of the movie was solid and pretty wholesome. The story and humor were wacky, and a surprising amount of jokes actually landed. It unironically surprised me, and I’m very happy that Boss Baby 3 was teased at the end of the movie.
