Ignore IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes ratings, they are useless. The movie starts off slow but gradually builds its momentum till the end. This is one to watch out for.

A "simple" film about a very difficult and sad topic. When I read the synopsis, I felt a little bit hesitate but then I decided to watch it. A Real Pain is an absolute gem of a movie that nails the perfect balance between laugh-out-loud humour and heartfelt character moments, it’s the kind of film that makes you laugh one minute and reflect on life the next.

The film examines how, despite progress, the emotional wounds from the past carry…
