Battle Royale 2000
I think what really sets this film aside from other "only one can survive films" is how reao the script and characters are: it's not sensationalised. The teenagers are REAL teenagers, with dumb drama, bullying, crushes, literally everything socially awkward thing that makes an angsty teen. I also think its interesting that the deaths aren't very spectacular, like they are what they are: brutal murder and it isn't cool. Not many films do that.

Oh my god, this film was something else. I have never been so intrigued by a singular film while watching for the first time.
Everything was perfect and I spill that word around alot, but there is no other to describe anything in this film. It was all perfect. This was all just so silly. Even tho i was loving the lord of the flies kinda vibe o couldnt get over how dumb the entire thing was. I mean why the fuck were sciencists building massive mazes instead of actually researching for a cure????? Tbf i havnt watched the last ones so they might explain this ludicrous waist of resources and time.
