Immersive photography, beautiful shots, gripping action, very likeable characters. The great second act culminates into one of the best horror scenes I have ever seen. The film sadly loses steam from there and never picks the intensity back up.
Goofy buzzwordy centrist politics all around, but it does not harm the film too much. Still thoroughly enjoyed my second watch!
Alex Garland always come really close to say something of substance in his films, but fails systematically with surface level…
