  This creeps up in my estimations each time I watch it. Yes it’s got a fair amount of fluff in it that could definitely be trimmed off but Cruise is in top OTT action mode in this and he’s also pretty rugged and beaten up too which is weird for him. Fun sci-fi.

  Filth 2013

  Oh boy, i thought this was going to be a raunchy Scottish comedy, kind of like a Scottish Wolf of Wall Street... It was not that, it was far more serious, oh boy.

  The "reveal" didn't quite work for me but i enjoyed the ending and man oh man, McAvoy is an unbelievably underrated actor - A role like this would never get any praise given how depraved it is but i thought he was great.

  Also, Moaning Myrtle earning her name in this.

  As I said in my ghostbusters review - Bill Murray is always the best thing about any movie he is in.

  Really enjoyable film, not quite Grand Budapest Hotel but a great, easy watch that was zany and entertaining with a hell of a cast.

  
  Also I loved the Bowie songs in Portuguese (according to subtitles).

  If Okja and Starship Troopers had a love child.

  As a card carrying member of the Robert Pattinson fan club, this absolutely reinforced my adoration for him. He played silly and dopey as well as he played angry and handsome and without someone as talented as him at the front of this film, it wouldn’t be nearly as watchable.

  Every chance id bump it up on rewatch as I had a lot of fun and laughed often but not sure…
