So far so good. So far so good.

I stay away from movies I don’t think I’ll enjoy and probably overrate everything I watch 👍🏻

God I love this movie. When 14 year old me first saw it, I had no idea how much of an impact it would have on me today. It might not be perfect to some but it is damn perfect to me. Matthew McConaughey delivers such an emotional and powerful performance, it’s criminal his work alone isn’t talked about more. Matt Damon also comes out of nowhere and delivers on every level. Oppenheimer may have gotten him the Oscar but…

Not my favorite from the legend that is Clint Eastwood, but it’s a great movie to sink your teeth into nonetheless. My only complaints are with some of the acting and the ending coming up a bit short, but there are some great moments of tension and Nicolas Hoult was damn good. If you like court room dramas or true crime, you’ll eat this shit up like candy.

This may be the most important movie of my lifetime. On a technical standpoint this is Nolan’s Opus, the 3 hour runtime moves at a brisk pace and completely captivates you. Cillian Murphy, RDJ, and Emily Blunt give career performances. The direction and editing left me absolutely stunned and Hoyt van Hoytema and Ludwig Göransson please all of your senses with the cinematography and score. What I am most impressed and deeply moved by, is the writing and direction. This…

An extremely solid directorial debut from Zoë Kravitz. This was wickedly entertaining, one of my favorite things that can happen in filmmaking is when after watching you realize the cast clearly cared and had fun while making the film, I felt this with every scene. The chemistry between each character was real and made the writing a lot more effective for me. I do think it kind of middles out and just falls short of being great by the end, but well worth the watch if you’re a thriller person.
