Return to Oz 1985
Watching this through VHS felt like the perfect way to revisit something from an older time after so long. The best part though, besides it being way scarier than any kids movie should be.... there were no songs. I can’t stand musicals.
And with how pricey eggs are these days, it’s kinda hilarious that they’re the one thing that took down the Nome King. Now how bout dat!

This is definitely the most wild entertaining mix of violence, romance, and absurdity I've seen all at once. The actors intense yet hilarious interactions make every moment feel larger than life. The more I see Lynch's films the more it feels as if he's throwing everything that comes to his mind on screen with such precision that it all feels deep and deliberate.
