I disliked this immensely.
The main plot disguises itself around the story of this young black woman and her journey of deciding between the upper class life she has been forced into and the revolutionary movement she becomes exposed to in regards to slavery and race. In actuality, the film ends up becoming more about her romance with the white saviour character and his journey of becoming a lawyer.
