How to Train Your Dragon 2010
Coming to this film as a first time watch with a live orchestra performance. The score was impactful and nicely written. Can’t say the same for the script really but it was fine. I’ve just seen this film 100 times before and nothing really surprised me or got to me emotionally.
This may be a hot take but Jay Baruchel should not be a voice actor. Was a piss poor performance and grating to listen to. Near Pinocchio (2022) levels…

Man, this movie is pretty. Lots of blood. Lots of talking. Could’ve been trimmed a bit but overall a great experience.
I found it very interesting that most of the absolute climactic moments were cut short by the story being told; It de-glorified the spectacle and grounded it.
Also holy shit that is the coolest duel in a movie. 1v1 arranged fight in a windy field. Matching each stance with a response stance is rad as hell!
