  My kid has been very into this movie lately (after refusing to watch it for so long. SMH, kids) so I’ve watched it a few times over the last couple weeks. 

  It’s really ham fisted when it tries to be serious, but it’s a children’s movie, so what are you gonna do. BUT, it’s really fun when it’s just being a mystery/thriller/what have you.

  Western John Wick. A little schlocky. Feels like it was meant to be 45 minutes longer but a focus group thought it was too slow. The “twist” (if you wanna call it that) doesn’t have any emotional resonance either because it’s so rushed or because Billy the Kid occupies absolutely zero real estate in the popular imagination of America in 2021 (or both.) 

  
  Overall this was a fun little movie. Just feels like it coulda been something more if there was a bit more meat on the bone, so to speak.

  Delightful. That octopus is scrappy as hell. The lesson I learned from the octopus teacher is to never underestimate an octopus.
