  blind to acts of service as a form of love, only gifts and money lure ani into intimacy clearly as a result of her economic status—maslow’s hierarchy and all that. nice parallels between ani and halley in florida project. cut the middle third by half. good job igor

  when you tell a story about the cycle of abuse, it should be accompanied by an acknowledgment of the psychological complexities that come with it.
  while “good tragedy should feel inevitable” (director of succession said this), it can be dangerous to create empathy for the abuser and i think this film coulda been a little more thoughtful. visuals were on point though
