  Unlike Tom Cruise's "Top Gun: Maverick" last summer, "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" falls a bit short of being another game-changing action blockbuster. "Dead Reckoning Part One" is out to up the franchise's ante yet again, clocking in at nearly three hours (of setup for next year's "Part Two). The narrative ambition is way too big, a trap too many franchises have fallen into this year. Still, the action and stunt work are top-notch and worth watching on the largest screen possible.

  "What Carney’s 'Sing Street' excels at best is its ability to capture the pitch-perfect music scene of 1985 with a cliché narrative that never comes across as tiresome. From start to finish, if you grew up in the 80s or adore nostalgic music, then 'Sing Street' knows exactly where to hit home."
