  I was absolutely foaming at the mouth feral for Robbie Williams from about ages 12-15, so I’m the target audience here. Being a fan of his was very formative for me; his sarcasm and cheekiness probably influenced my sense of humour more than I realized, and he kicked off my lifelong fascination with dysfunctional celebrities.
  Michael Gracey took an insanely high concept idea and really went for it, I have to respect it. Considering how Robbie is such a wild egomaniac, the audacity of it makes sense.

  Christmas in Connecticut 1945

  I don’t tend to like screwballs, but what brings me back to this is the chemistry between Barbara Stanwyck and Dennis Morgan. The second they lay eyes on each other they’re instantly horny, it’s the best. Also hilarious:  while Dennis Morgan is convalescing he’s not allowed solid food, but apparently crushing cigs is totally fine.
