  The Greatest Showman 2017

  The storytelling is awkward, the music is bad (and clearly not written with the range of the film's star in mind), but the part that really gets me is how utterly cowardly this film is. The Greatest Showman views issues like racial and ableist prejudice like black and white issues and, in proudly standing atop this shoddily-built soap box, it creates a work of art that's just about as progressive as Joe Manchin.

  A forgettable mess that was barely funny enough to get through as an ironic watch.

  This movie should not have been made. If you're going to make a movie on an extremely complicated topic based on the lives of real people, you owe it to those real people (who are still alive) to tell their story in a way that doesn't perpetuate the cruelty already rendered upon them.
