It seems like this film desperately wanted to retain the cool scenes that the manga had but without any of the plot that added the weight to these scenes. I can't say I really liked much about this film except for the opening shot where the point of view is inside nakoshis skull as it's being drilled into. After watching that scene it's best to turn the film off and go read the manga. I could go more in depth…
