Quo Vadis, Aida? 2020
Knowing the historical context of this movie very well already I could not tell you how the narrative fares for people who dont know it. I can however tell you that the movie was an amazing viewing experience for me; it didnt show the war as this gorey thing. It showed the war with how it affected everybody and everything. Knowing the historical context I also knew the several paths certain scenes and plots of this movie couldve taken and I could still never guess whatd come next. This movie made my heart drop and made me cry several times. Its an amazing movie.

Halima's Path 2012
There's some awkwardly shot scenes and the story wasnt always entirely clear to me, however this movie near perfectly represents Bosnia's culture, its people and the effect of the war and ethnic conflict on the people. I wouldnt recommend this movie to everybody but I definitely would to people that enjoy movies that are sad, movies that are simply about people and their fates and movies that depict a country's culture and its people well
