Woman of the Hour 2023
i really liked it! it didn't glamorize it nor did it go into explicit details of the actual happenings to to women and exploiting their trauma. the acting was great and the directing was surprising well done for anna kendrick's directorial debut. the choice of filming through mirrors on many scenes were really demonstrative of the male gaze. also just the sexism in this movie was like so real. plus i loved that anna kendrick didn't play the coy girl who's not smart to escape the serial killer. she played as a woman, not a girl.
