  I love this story. But man. What a strange way to tell it... I obviously like Harry Lloyd and Mark Addy but what were they doing here? Why did they choose to make such a fascinating story into such a convoluted, confusing, windy film?

  Hmmm. Maybe my least favorite Bong Joon-Ho film thus far, unfortunately?

  Didn't love: the third act (very drawn out), Mark Ruffalo (who I normally love but was just...annoying in a not fun way in this film), the recurring sauce thing, the lack of Yeun (too little), the heavy handedness of some of the themes

  Did love: Pattinson throughout, Naomi Ackie, the music, the humor, the aliens (very cute)

  Would have given 3 stars but an extra half for Pattinson's whole vibe

  Loved everything about this movie except the movie itself. Great styling, sound mixing, music (obvs, it was Ludwig Goransson), cool effects. Solid acting. I just... thought it was dumb otherwise.

  Beautiful film. Wow. More Steven Yeun, please.

  What a deep, painful, and wondrous story of the American Dream. It explores the story of the Yi family but gives us exactly the right amount of detail, of development, of background information, of plot, of pain and joy and hope and despair. Exquisite score excellent cinematography, phenomenal acting by Yeun and Han Ye-ri.

  Why aren't there more films like this??!

  Also, Brad Pitt as an executive producer is the GOAT, possibly.
