Magazine Dreams 2023
While executed well on the cinematography, and acting front Magazine Dreams trips when it comes to conveying it's ultimate thoughts about it's main character Killian. Maybe that's intentional and the audience is supposed to come to it's own conclusions about him. With that said this is still a highly enjoyable and challenging film that's highly elevated by the presence of it's star. The Brutalist 2024
The Brutalist, pretty good but flawed. I love the characters and portrayals, great cinematography, one of the best scores of 2024, and some really strong dialogue. The final stretch is kinda a let down though, as it fails to bring it's ideas and critiques together. The back half basically edges the audience without giving us much of a release. I definitely would've went higher on the score if it finished stronger. Also why is no one talking about that one scene? I guess still to this day, nobody really cares when that happens to men.

In a Violent Nature 2024
Kinda underwhelmed at this one, considering all the hype. What I do like is the idea of presenting the film mostky from the killer's POV, it mostky works until it doesn't. I also like the killer's origin story, derivative but it piqued my interest. I like the location, remote woods mostly work in giving our killer a mysterious hunting ground.
