  It's just... so boring. And that's the worst thing a movie can be, in my opinion. The 'demons' don't use the iconic designs from the games, and the designs they do use are uninspired and shrouded in darkness the entire time. There's also no actual hell, and the demons are just super-zombies. Setting up Dwayne as the main protagonist (supported by the casting too) and then making him the villain could've been a memorable twist if I cared about any of the characters. Honestly, it just feels like a worse version of the first Resident Evil film.
