This was everything the prom could have been. This movie shows us that movie musicals can be done with all kinds of love and bring a smile to your face at the end
The only thing I didn’t love is the sudden character arc of the school bully turning him from an asshole to accepting in minutes
Also so many extra points for the absence of James Corden
The way the movie touches on lgbt history briefly is so good and is a reminder to be grateful for our queer elders who faced so much persecution. To everyone who came before us, I love you.
