Was it a great movie? No

Did Paul Mescal have the charisma of a pet monkey? Yes

Did Denzel Washington chew up the scenery like a rampage rhino? Yes

Charlie Sheen sweats,misses out on a night of a lifetime and turns into Mario.

Boring, meandering, pointless.

I'm not an X-men fan, but I enjoyed First Class and Days of Future Past, so I was surprised to read that Apocalypse was also directed by Singer as Days was.

I think it must be the writing that made it feel like such a worse film. The way Magento joins with the (forgetfull) baddie, then swaps side at the last minute wasn't believable.

Also many of the new characters and actors was utter forgetfull.
